Biggest Pit Bull, how tall and strong? When trying to determine the dog that could be named the biggest pit bull, one immediately runs into some controversy.
The first order of business would be to decide what, exactly, is a pit bull. The United Kennel Club considers only one breed of dog to be a pit bull, and that is the American Pit Bull Terrier. What most dog experts seem to agree on, regardless of which breeds they consider to be pit bulls, is that if a dog weighs over 90 pounds, it is not a true pit bull. Some owners, and even some who claim to be breeders, say that they have the biggest pit bull with dogs weighing in at close to 150 pounds. Pit bulls on the small end weigh around 35 pounds. That’s quite a range for one group of dogs. Regardless of the size, whether the biggest pit bull or the smallest, all pit bulls have the potential to become gentle, loving members of your family.
