Springer Spaniel Rescued After a 300 FT Fall

<<>> Poppy is a female Springer Spaniel who lives in England. On a beautiful day while having a stroll whith its owners she decided to chase a seagull who happened to be next to a 300ft cliff.

What happened:

Well Poppy fell down the cliff straight into the cold ocean waters. Luckily she was able to swim to the shore and hide behind some rocks.

The owner called a charity rescue group called RNLI and they were able to rescue her.

Why am I telling this story? First because it has a great happy ending meaning the dog survied.

Second you should never keep your dog offleash in dangerous situations. Srpingers have the instinct to chase birds. So it goes without saying that the they should be kept on leash when they are close to dangerous areas such as cliffs, streets,...

Just remember this story when thinking about keeping your pit offleash.

Ah and to see a video of the rescue here is the link: Springer Spaniel Rescue
